Time
|
The fifth Tuesday of each month at 20-24 Finnish time, also with daylight
saving time. (2002: 29.1.2002, 30.4.2002, 30.7.2002, 29.10.2002 and 31.12.2002)

|
2GHz and up.

Sections
|
a) General
b) Rover
In the Rover-section it is allowed to change QTH during the contest, if the
distance between locators is at least 10km. Using the previous locator again
in the
same contest is forbidden. Distance between QTHs are calculated by the locator
grids, not from the map.
From the new locator it is allowed to work the same stations again, but
square bonus is available only once/square/band. Fixed QTH/antennas are not
allowed in Rover-class. The call sign of the Rover-station could be /P or
/M.
It is allowed to participate in both classes.

Scoring
|
1 point/1km. Shorter than 10km=10 points.
Contest has following multipliers: 2,3GHz=2x, 3,4GHz=3x, 5,6GHz=4x,
10GHz=5x, 24GHz=6x and so on. Example: 42km at 5,6GHz results 4x42 points.
Each square (even the square where the competitor is located at, if had
a QSO to that square) results bonus-score of 100
points per each band.
EME-contacts in the tests result no points.

|
RST and WW-locator.
|

Logs
|
Log must be written in VHF-UHF LOG of the SRAL, or equivalent A4-sized
log-sheet. Log is not the list of the QSOs generated byt the computer.
Time should be written down in the UTC.
Number of squares worked must be clearly noted in the log.
Total points must be noted on the topmost logsheets upper right corner
on the cell "Total points".
Logs should be sent before Thursday next week (after contest) to:

Logs could also be sent by email, REG1TEST-format (*.EDI) or plain ASCII-file
(*.TXT) are supported. The address is vhfcontest@sral.fi.
Logs arrived overdue, erroneously or insufficiently filled logs could be
disqualified.

Winner
|
The station which has gained most points in the sum of four (4) chosen months
contests of the year, is the winner.
